Suspended Driver's License in Orange County

If you are arrested for a DUI, the officer will confiscate your driver’s license and issue you a pink temporary license known as a DS-367. This document is valid for 30 days and acts as your temporary driving privileges. If you do not contact the DMV within 10 calendar days your license is automatically suspended 30 days from the date of your arrest. On a first offense DUI where there is no refusal issue, your license will be suspended for 4 months. You may be eligible for a restricted license after serving a 30-day hard suspension. If you refused a chemical test your license will be suspended for 1 year with no eligibility for a restricted license. On a second or subsequent DUI, you may be required to install an ignition interlock device and will serve a minimum 90-day hard suspension prior to being eligible for a restricted license.
