DUI FAQ: What are my options if I have multiple DUI convictions?

If you have been arrested for 2 or more DUIs in a short amount of time, you may want to consider alcohol treatment. Many insurances now cover alcohol treatment. Both inpatient and outpatient programs can assist you with any personal issues that you are facing as well as may help with your criminal court case.

If you are arrested for a 2nd offense DUI, you will likely want to start attending AA meetings immediately after the arrest. Keep a detailed log of all AA meetings that you attend. This will assist you in any bail setting at your first court date. If you are arrested for a 3rd offense DUI, consider a SCRAM device. SCRAM stands for Secured, Continuous, Remote, Alcohol Monitoring. A SCRAM device will show the judge and prosecutor that you are not drinking and therefore do not pose a risk to yourself or others. If you are unwilling to do SCRAM, then it is highly advisable to seek help with alcohol dependency.

Not all DUI arrests are the result of an underlying addiction problem. We are here to help. We will provide you with the guidance you need to fight the charges against you and help to mitigate the damages.
